The unit comes in a sturdy carry case along with its accessories. The main unit is separate from the flex cable/camera assembly. The cable connects to the top of the unit via a durable and secure screw on connector. You will also find full instructions, a usb charging cable, and hook and magnet accessories for the end of the camera to aid in retrieving small objects.

The device can also connect by WiFi to your smart phone, although I found that the native feature set of the device, along with the excellent quality of the large bright display made this feature unimportant for my usage.

Over the last couple of years, I have tested a few endoscopes /borescopes. I have used them for looking inside walls, engines, pipes, air ducts, eavestrough, as well as a suddenly present hole, that upon inspection, housed a pair of eyes, teeth amd fur! I have had the version that you use with your cell phone for some time and although it works really well, there have been times when my phone has got damaged or dirty when working in construction areas. This unit is self-contained with its own screen and does not require you to use your phone as a video monitor - although there is the capability to connect it with an app, if you wish. It comes in an impressive-looking case that seems quite solid, so it should protect the unit well in storage or transit.

It has a very high quality hi definition 1920X1080 display. It comes with a 32 gig micro SD card to allow you to record still photos and videos without concerns about storage capacity. Both the forward facing lens and the lateral lens are good quality and sharp. The LED lighting has 3 brightness settings plus off that are more than adequate. For most purposes you won't need the brightest setting.
